V:Twin
Mobile Payments
V:twin is a mobile payments sled, providing a method of pairing a smart phone with a mobile payment terminal for dynamic retailing environments. The increased use of mPos (Mobile Point Of Sale) allows the customer a better experience in a retail environment; reducing queuing times at fixed counters. It also provides store advisors with the possibility to advise the customer on stock levels as well as taking orders for home delivery.
The V:twin combines two devices in a compact and lightweight package; protecting the devices sufficiently but without encumbering the user with unnecessary weight or bulk. To further aid usability the solution incorporates a novel slide function to allow for the smartphone camera to be deployed for scanning barcodes or QR codes.
Other features include: non-slip grips, in-case charging (eliminating the need to remove devices for charging) and a fixing system to attach flexible carrying options, such as belt loop or shoulder strap. Customizable inserts allow retailers to feature branding to alert shoppers that their staff can assist with transactions.
